Coffee And Toast
Coffee And Toast was released as a download with the CD-ROM element of James’ 2001 Pleased To Meet You album. A different mix of the track appeared on the 2004 The Collection compilation album.
The song was performed at both legs of V Festival in August 2000 and at a number of dates on the band’s 2000 Theatre tour where tracks being considered for Pleased To Meet You were being road-tested. It appeared on early album samplers before being removed.

Massive great crack
A mirror world
The black hole exerts her attraction
My vector collapses its whole
Atom explodes
All known parameters broken
Change is the only equation
A piece is a part of the whole
If you come back to my house
I'll make some coffee and some toast
If you come back to my house
I'll make some coffee and some toast
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
There's nowhere to go
Fall through the holes in the fabric
If you have magic then use it
Nothing to lose but control
Reality falls
Every known law must be broken
Every defence is just token
Some pieces are part of the whole
If you come back to my house
I'll make some coffee and some toast
If you come back to my house
I'll make some coffee and some toast
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)
If you come back to my house
(Come back, come back)

Confusion
Confusion first appeared on the first episode of the BBC TV series Randall And Hopkirk Deceased and on the programme’s soundtrack album. It later appeared on the 2004 James compilation album The Collection.
Originally aired on the 1998 Winter tour, Confusion was dropped from the Millionaires album because Tim was never happy with the lyrics.

But I couldn't remember the names of half of those
I remember bits of bodies and what they did to me
And whether or not I got them up and made them hum
Oh confusion
Confusion reigns over me
Oh confusion
It breeds, it breeds, it breeds all over me
Well we used your mouths in ways I only dreamt of
You walked the line between acrobat and nun
You took me to the edge in public places
And took me home to share me with your Mum
Oh confusion
Confusion reigns over me
Oh confusion
It breeds, it breeds, it breeds all over me
And I lost my mind in a hotel room in Texas
All I recall is a puffed-up face and t-shirt
And when you came
You just turned into some creature
You're strong
I'm so strong
Oh confusion
Confusion reigns over me
Oh confusion
Confusion reigns over me
Oh confusion
It breeds, it breeds, it breeds all over me
