Seven is track eleven and the title track of the 1992 James album Seven. A remixed version was released as a single in July 1992.
It was originally titled Blow Me Away, but Tim felt worried that American religious fanatics objecting to the references to God in the lyrics might take him too literally, so the track became Seven.
Despite the live Radio 1 broadcast of the Alton Towers show on the Saturday prior to release, Seven was the first Fontana/Mercury release to fail to hit the Top 40, peaking at number 46.
It was the first song played at the first reunion show at Hoxton Bar And Grill in March 2007.

Blow me away
Was that love you declared
Only a word
Love can mean anything
Understand the world we're living in
Oceans apart
What's that view from your wave
Beautiful craft
Weather in change
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
God made love to me
Soothed away my gravity
Made me a pair of angel's wings
Clear vision and some magic things
God is love to me
Thank you for those things
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
Darling, I'm open
Unguarded, I'm broken
Now we've done our time
We can drift away
Like a heavy cloud
With the weight of rain
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
Understand the world we're living in
Love can change anything
Was that love you declared
Only a word
Love can mean anything
Understand the world we're living in
Oceans apart
What's that view from your wave
Beautiful craft
Weather in change
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
God made love to me
Soothed away my gravity
Made me a pair of angel's wings
Clear vision and some magic things
God is love to me
Thank you for those things
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
Darling, I'm open
Unguarded, I'm broken
Now we've done our time
We can drift away
Like a heavy cloud
With the weight of rain
Understand the world we're living in
Love can mean anything
Understand the world we're living in
Love can change anything

Song Structure:
Larry is the only guitarist on this one, and he opens the song by switching from Bbsus4 to Bb. The first verse is just on a chord of Bb, which Larry occasionally strums. The chorus ("understand the world...") is F Gm Eb Bb, and again Larry makes a strum of these chords on occasion. The second verse is largely the same as the verse save an extra chord of Eb that pops up during "gave me a pair of angel's wings...." Towards the end of the song a number of riffs appear, and they're all tabbed out above.
