Dates connected with James: | 2002-2014 |
Contribution/Role/Speciality: | Collaborator / Animator |
Ainslie Henderson first came to the attention of James fans in 2002 when he appeared as a contestant on the BBC1 talent show Fame Academy and was assigned Saul and Mark as his mentors. They wrote a song together on the show called Take Out Time although further collaborations never saw the light of day as Henderson was dropped by Mercury and his unreleased album still sits on the shelves today.
He forged a career as a BAFTA winning animator and was commissioned by the band to create the Moving On video in 2014 when he also supported James at their semi-acoustic gig at Stirling’s Tolbooth in October of that year. At the 2017 band’s We Love Manchester Emergency Fund benefit gig Henderson provided backing vocals.
