The name James is adopted by the band after many changes over the past two years. James debut at Darwen’s 21 Club advertised as “James (Not A Poet)” and Tim started the show by reading a poem.

James record a four-track demo – Hymn From A Village, If Things Were Perfect, Withdrawn and What’s The World – with Nick Garside at Out Of The Blue – Tim’s first recorded work with the band.
