The James documentary Getting Away With It is premiered at Rich Mix in Shoreditch as part of SXSW London with a Q&A with Tim, Jim and director Chris Adams

James undertake their biggest ever UK tour at arenas in Birmingham, Leeds, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Cardiff, Nottingham, London and Manchester supported by Doves

James perform two acoustic sets and Q&A sessions at both Kingston Pryzm and Liverpool Cavern Club as part of the delayed promotional campaign for Nothing But Love.

James release the career-spanning Nothing But Love – The Definitive Best Of.  The compilation includes a 3cd format with 58 tracks, 5lp boxset with 52 and two 2lp formats with 21.  They promote the release with a number of in-store signings, with some in-store performances cancelled because of band illness.  They also appear on BBC Breakfast Show and Radio 2 as part of the promotional campaign. The album reaches number 6 in the UK chart.

Earlier in the month the band return to South and Central America for shows in Chile, Peru, Brazil and Mexico.

James release Wake Up Superman, one of two new tracks taken from their compilation Nothing But Love – The Definitive Best Of that is announced for release in November.

They also complete their North American tour playing the album Laid in full.

James head to North America for a headline tour performing the Laid album in full. Some nights they open with the album and follow with a second set, other nights they mix the album tracks with singles and deep cuts.

James released their Live At The Acropolis concert film on CD, CD+UHD bluray, 3LP vinyl and photo book boxset

James headlined Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, Ayr Beach Live and Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham. They also announced a North American tour for September and October where they would perform the Laid album in full.

James premiered their Live At The Acropolis blu-ray concert film with a preview and Q&A session with Tim and Jim at Aviva Studios in Manchester.

James concluded their North American co-headline tour with Johnny Marr. On later dates Tim performed Iggy Pop’s The Passenger with Johnny and his band.

James performed two shows in Greece before heading to Rock In Rio in Brazil and then North America to kick off a 21-date joint headline tour with Johnny Marr.

Pudding was released on purple vinyl exclusively through the James store.

James performed a medley of She’s A Star and Life’s A Shocking Miracle at Manchester AO Arena as part of the official welcome home to Great Britain’s Olympic team.

They also headlined festivals in Devon and Dublin as well as two Portuguese shows in Crato and Vila Nova De Paiva.
