James headlined Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, Ayr Beach Live and Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham. They also announced a North American tour for September and October where they would perform the Laid album in full.
James premiered their Live At The Acropolis blu-ray concert film with a preview and Q&A session with Tim and Jim at Aviva Studios in Manchester.
James concluded their North American co-headline tour with Johnny Marr. On later dates Tim performed Iggy Pop’s The Passenger with Johnny and his band.
James performed two shows in Greece before heading to Rock In Rio in Brazil and then North America to kick off a 21-date joint headline tour with Johnny Marr.

James performed a medley of She’s A Star and Life’s A Shocking Miracle at Manchester AO Arena as part of the official welcome home to Great Britain’s Olympic team.
They also headlined festivals in Devon and Dublin as well as two Portuguese shows in Crato and Vila Nova De Paiva.
James headlined Lytham Festival and Bedford Summer Sessions with Joe Duddell, Orca 22 and the Manchester Inspirational Voices Gospel Choir. They then played band headline sets at Hebcelt Festival, Ludlow Castle and Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
James perform at Glastonbury Festival after an eight-date UK tour including a sold-out show at Manchester’s new COOP Live arena and their first ever show at the O2 in London.
As part of a session for Radio 2 at Glastonbury, they do a cover of headliner Dua Lipa’s song Be The One.
Tim Booth releases his novel When I Died For The First Time and does a reading, Q&A, performance and signing in London, Glasgow and Manchester. The performance includes two new songs Happy and I Do.
James perform in Mexico City as well as three shows in Spain.
James release their eighteenth studio album Yummy and it debuts at number one in the first week, as well as topping the physical and vinyl charts.
They perform sessions for Virgin Radio and BBC Radio 2, covering Coldplay’s Fix You, as well as performing acoustically at HMV London Oxford St as part of a signing session. They also held signing sessions at HMV Manchester and Liverpool Jacaranda.
James release Life’s A Fucking Miracle, the third track to be taken from Yummy, including a clean radio edit called Life’s A Shocking Miracle.
Tim, Jim, Saul, Dave and Andy headline Music Feeds with an orchestra conducted by Joe Duddell at Manchester Apollo to raise funds for the Trussell Trust. Rowetta accompanied them on stage with backing vocals.
Our World was released as the second single from Yummy and was named BBC Radio 2’s Track Of The Week
James release Is This Love and announce that their 18th studio album Yummy will be released on April 12th.
