On March 15, 1991 James performed a top secret gig at Paris La Locomotive where they showcased 10 tracks which had been demoed for what later became the Seven LP. Amongst the unique and very different renditions of the album tracks was Singer’s A Liar (known for years on a bootleg of the show as Somebody Help Me) which never made it further than the demo stage.

Pitiful was an unreleased song played at Newcastle Mayfair on 3rd December 1990. No other record of performance exists.
The show was partially released as a bootleg vinyl in the early 1990s.

Let It Fall was a semi-improvised song performed only once as far as we are aware at Sheffield University in June 1990 on the Gold Mother tour.

Played live in 1989 on the Come Home tour and in the 1990 Black Session, Violent Rain was an attack on ecological damage in line with Sky Is Falling.
The song was demoed for Gold Mother but never released.
