Burned is track twelve on the 1989 James live album One Man Clapping. No studio version of the track has been released.
It is a vitriolic rant at the music industry, particularly at Seymour Stein and Sire Records who had signed and then ignored James for three years.
It made periodic reappearances in the set-list in the early 1990s and was then played at a warm-up gig for the December 2008 UK tour as well as improvised at a soundcheck in Llandudno in May 2016. It was then played as a one-off at Wolverhampton Civic on 7th December 2016
