New Order were instrumental in giving James some of their earliest breaks through their involvement in Factory Records who put out their first two singles as well as inviting them to support at several dates in 1983 including Liverpool State Ballroom in March and London’s Brixton Academy in December.
The band, formed after the death of Joy Division’s lead singer Ian Curtis, released their tenth studio album Music Complete in 2016 to excellent reviews.
